I have been following the official facebook page of MNIK for quite some time now. I found there are few people, specially SRK fans, who are worried about whether MNIK would break the record of 3I or not. And there are other group of people, specifically SRK hater, who tries to write off MNIK only on the basis of it's domestic box office collection. So I thought I would share my understanding about this issue. I would urge both of these group to stop. Because to appreciate the hidden complexity of MNIK one needs to have certain level of understanding of the actual issue. Although Karan Johar had tried to keep it simple but ultimately the issue is complex. So it's definitely not going to touch those people who does not want to use their grey matter while watching a movie. I am surrounded by well educated (by that I mean conventional education) people all the time. And I found even in them there are differences in opinion. I have observed very closely that the people who did not like the movie are those people who are least bothered about the issue the movie is dealing with. Whereas in comparison, to understand 3I you don't need to use your grey matter. My opinion is it's a good movie as well. But at the end of the day even if you don't understand the message of the movie you will still get your dose of entertainment. Although I am a staunch SRK fan, I tried to analyse the issue from a neutral point of view. So my point is don't try to blindly analyse any movie solely in terms of BO collection because in that case Avatar should have been the No 1 movie of all time ..but it hardly won any award in recently completed BAFTA award ceremony. This just speaks volume about the whole issue I guess.

Wake up my fellow Indians
It's been more than one year since I've written anything. But the recent incident in Mumbai has forced me to spend some time into writing this. Have we ever thought what is the real reason for this disaster in Mumbai. It's very easy to point our finger to Pakistan whenever this kind of things happen. Ithere is a proverb -"when you point your finger towards someone, remember all the other finger are pointing towards you". I think every time this kind things happen, we suddenly become aware of horror and brutality unleashed by some terrorists supposedly backed by ISI. How about the brutality that one group of citizens face from other fellow citizens. Where our sense of nationalism hide in theses situation. Have we ever thought, how could a group of 5-8 people, irrespective of their determination, come with so much firearms and ammunition to the Indian soil. It's virtually impossible without the help of insiders. These insiders are not just politicians, they are also so called Indian national, irrespective of their religion. So, don't try to blame the politicians alone as well. The responsibility is ours also. We are so corrupt, that it is not very hard to buy out our false sense of nationalism. If all the members of a family are honest and have respect for each other, then it's impossible for their neighbour to rip that family apart. The situation is same here. These terrorist use our hypocrisy to destroy us. Just for example, how many people tried to show their nationalism when so many people died in one just fraction of second in Delhi, and Assam. Oh...I got the point, why do we bother..these were just ordinary people..who cares whether they die or live. In this whole incident in Mumbai..several people were killed in Mubai central station..how much media coverage did it get? Almost nothing. I am sure had these terroist not attacked the Taj hotel..this whole incidence would have forgotten like some other incidence. So common people of India may thank these teroists, because taking some "important" lives they probably are going to save(at least I hope so) millions of "ordinary" lives....It's time to wake up people...our worst enemy is within ourselves.. we should start cleaning our garbage first, than our neighbours.
